I'm just shocked... I'm really impressed by Andrei's score ;]
Good job to you, and to Noah.
I'll try to get 158+ too (but on French) as quickly as possible.

Andrei, you're a BEAST! Congrats for reaching 1st place on the general ranking, thanks to your improved english score

I see that Kukkain has reached 152,94 on the english text, is it because he had passed you that got motivated to practice the text again?
As for Hiroki, I had sent him this e-mail:
Hi,
First of all I would like to congratulate you on achieving 174 wpm on TypingZone's permanent English text, I never thought I would see someone reach the 170 mark on this text. Speaking of which, a few of the TypingZone members have expressed some doubts regarding the possibility of reaching such a high score legitimately and are eager to hear from you. We would like to discuss with you about your typing technique, your background as a typist (how you became so fast), and invite you to participate in the monthly Master tournaments.
Maybe you could join the TypingZone forums where you would have the opportunity to talk with some other very fast typists, discuss typing in general, as well as erase any doubts that people might have? Or if you prefer we could talk on MSN, where a few of us regularly chat.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Have a good day,
Damien
and he never replied, never showed up on the forum, never participated in the masters or on any other typing sites as far as anyone knows... So until he does, I have no problem with his score being removed.

If he sees that he is removed from the list and his score is real he will find the way to get back that score again, at least if he wants his score to be back he will say something on the forum.
I really can't say if he is a real typist or a cheater... When we look at his "ghost" everything is normal, but......there is enough place for doubts.

If someone records buttonpresses then plays it back, sped up, is there a way to detect this by looking at the ghost?

I don't know what your question was, so that I could answer it

Why do you ask?
cause I heard you two played trivia together long time ago and you guys were 2 of the best,i didn't take part of that generation of typers but i was just wandering what is with him considering that you evolved and still play here and he's not eventhought you guys were friends

i don't wanna sound annoying with these silly questions

it's just my curiosity

I guess this is a milestone in my typing career..... for the first time, I've managed to top the English text rankings !!

What baffles me, though, is that, while breaking the record, it didn't feel like I was doing something extraordinary, and I even made one typo near the end. I don't wanna sound silly, but somewhere in the back of my mind, there's some doubt about this performance being accurate. Maybe the program has a bug? Hope not

Andrei, you're awesome. Your score is amazing. Your first line is crazy, just too fast !
Without mistake, you could probably break the 165's barrier, and maybe even reach the 170's....
I expected to see you improve on the french text soon. You and Karen are not in the place you should be on this text
Funny to see that Americans aren't first on the English anymore as the French aren't anymore first on the French text by the way

Exceptional. No comment. Just: I can imagine your sensation as I got 165+ on the last long master (and it was so exciting).

Andrei, I'm curious : What's your average on typeracer? What's your best on the same site? How many times did you type there?

ANDREIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII I LOVE YOU BABY!
What a phenomenal score... and you say you might be able to do even better!?

In my opinion, Andrei has an impressive solid brute speed, one of the most amazing in this world. That's why he could get extraordinary scores on every kind of text. That reminds me Chen.. and his talent for typing Czech, Slovac.. etc!
Anyway.
Try the 170' and you'll beat my record :] on long text.
